Homeless Mobile Meals
Transportation funding goal: $34,999
As the chronically homeless population continues to increase every year, Wings of Angels, Limited is seeking funding for a Homeless Mobile Meals Mini-Van that will give us the ability to increase frequency of meal service, serve more meals, and increase the capacity for volunteer engagement. We provide hot meals, water, clothing, shoes, blankets, and personal items to the chronically homeless, children, youth, adults, veterans, and people living in the woods in the Kissimmee, Florida community, at no cost. We will provide these services once a week instead of every two weeks by having a Homeless Mobile Meals Mini-Van. This will give the organization the opportunity to provide more hot meals, as well as, personal hygiene items every month. We will continue to serve the chronically homeless individuals experiencing homelessness, health, and social issues. Ensuring everyone has access to opportunities and resources regardless of their economic status.
Eliminate Hunger: Our "Eliminate Hunger" initiative is dedicated to providing nutritious meals with water every week to the chronically homeless children, youth, adults, veterans, those living in the woods in Osceola County suffering from food insecurity.
We rely on both financial contributions and in-kind donations to deliver balanced meals, clothing, and shoes to those in need. The individuals we serve are unsheltered--living on the streets, in wooded areas, or behind retail centers.
Our mission goes beyond simply feeding the hungry. We strive to create a compassionate and respectful environment where each person feels supported. We hope to help individuals move toward an improved well-being and a better quality of life.
